clothes

I was getting dressed this morning and everything I put on looked forced, unnatural, trying too hard. Why not a robe. A jumpsuit. Monkeys wearing clothes, playing house, so many of us "identify" ourselves as like everyone else. Trends. I do follow some. I watch them. I like to dress up sometimes, express myself within the prescribed framework. On the other hand, I don't care, either. Yet there is also a uniform for the many manifestations of the "I don't care" crowds. If I owned a full body jumpsuit I would probably be wearing it today. At least around the house.

"I don't care and I'm kind of a hippy!"
"I don't care and I drink a lot of beer."
"I don't care and I'm rather intellectual. Maybe a professor somewhere."
"I don't care and I'm quite the athlete."
"I don't care and I play basketball with my friends in long, shiny shorts."
"I don't care and I like guys that drink beer."
"I don't care and I shop at walmart."
"I don't care and I have a blog and wear jumpsuits to buck society."
